Tony Koussa Jr. (Sax/Guitar/Keys/Vocals): Tony has toured nationally and internationally with Rounder Records recording artists, along with a Gospel Music tour of Germany and the US. He was voted the Best Horn Player in Northeast Ohio by the Cleveland Free Times and voted Best Male Vocalist by the independent music site, Garageband.com. He has been playing music professionally for 17 years, since the age of 11. He has an extensive recording career and has shared the stage with Maceo Parker (of James Brown), GE Smith (of the Saturday Night Live Band), Robert Lockwood Jr., Koko Taylor, and Little Milton, to name a few. He has led the Tony Koussa Jr. Band to open for the likes of Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Spryo Gyra, and Mannheim Steamroller. Tony has also played for presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush (Inaugural Ball). Tony is endorsed by Cannonball Saxophones.
Leroy Markish (Guitar/Vocals): 40+ year veteran of the Cleveland music scene; Leader of the popular 70’s psychedelic rock band, The Henry Tree; performances with guitar legend Bill Durango, David Clayton Thomas (of Blood Sweat and Tears), Bernard Purdie (the worlds most recorded drummer, of James Brown, BB King, Joe Cocker, etc.), Todd Sharp (of Rod Stewart, Hall and Oats), and more. He has also appeared on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. Leroy was the original guitar player of The Rockin’ Rebels, and can be heard on the instrumental surf rock hit, “Wild Weekend” in 1963.
Darin King (Bass/Vocals): In-demand Gospel musician with recording credits including the Dixie Hummingbirds and Paul Simon. Darin has an extensive history of playing in the D.C., New York, Philadelphia, and Cleveland areas. When not playing with The Tony Koussa Jr. Band, Darin tours with the original doo-wop group, the Edsels (of “Rama Lama Ding Dong” fame).
Chad May (Guitar/Trumpet/Vocals): A world-class musician, Chad has toured the United States and Japan with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Chad has made a mark for himself in the Cleveland music scene with his subtle and smooth vocal style and his electrifying energy on stage.
Greg “Spider” Allen (Drums): Another 40+ year veteran of the music business, Spider has played for many of the area’s finest country, blues, and rock bands before joining the Tony Koussa Jr. Band. He has recorded for Telarc Records, and is endorsed by Fortune Drum Company. In earlier years, Spider in his other bands often played shows with Joe Walsh and the James Gang.
